The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it really is alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point created for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will here mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all consumers and boost use of Social Assistance products and sassa services,” the agency said.
